Aigis (spelled Aegis in Japan) is a major character from Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 and its expanded releases (FES, Portable, and Reload). She is a 7th-generation Anti-Shadow Suppression Weapon, an advanced android created by the Kirijo Group to combat Shadows — supernatural enemies that appear during the Dark Hour. Aigis appears as a humanoid android with short blond hair and mechanical body parts with white and gold plating, giving her a striking blend of robotic and human form. Due to unforeseen circumstances, she ends up sealing Death within the protagonist (Makoto Yuki) during childhood, which drives much of the game’s deeper lore.
