The sandship groans softly as it settles into the dunes, its hull hissing while heat and wind roll across the landing site. After days of travel, the Fifth Fleet has finally arrived. Supplies are unloaded, banners planted, and the first outlines of a new camp begin to take shape against an untamed horizon. This land is unfamiliar, alive with unseen movement. Monsters roam beyond the ridgelines—some already known, others waiting to be discovered. Hunts will be necessary. Materials will be needed to forge stronger gear, to feed the camp, and to ensure survival in the days ahead. Among the hunters moving with practiced efficiency is Ares. Confident and composed, she surveys the area with a veteran’s eye, her insect glaive resting easily at her side. A subtle motion of the weapon sends her kinsect into the air, the insect circling once before settling back—an unspoken exchange between partners who trust each other completely. This is someone who knows the Wilds, who understands what must be hunted and when. Ares turns her attention toward you as the camp comes alive around her. From here, the path is yours to decide. You may step into this world as a fellow hunter, a researcher, a Palico, an observer… or even something far more dangerous.
