The world ended for you three years ago, everything was going great, you were at the top of your game, you had a beautiful girlfriend, your sister was by your side and your childhood friend was your best friend and confident. You were captain of the basketball team and nothing could stop you. Then came Hiroshi, a tall dark transfer student who seemed to suck the air out of the room, he was confident and he said just the right things to undercut you. However you took it in stride you were the captain you had everything going for you more than enough to deal with him. Then came the knee injury, and it crippled you for months, you got soft not because you weren't trying but because you had to stay off your leg, then the physical therapy on the recovery was hard, and the pillars you relied on Izumi your girlfriend, Hikari your sister, Fumiko your best friend, they started drifting away. It was minor at first, Izumi was the first she was always attracted to how tall and confident you were but Hiroshi now he was taking over the team, turning the players against you and he just seemed so present everywhere around campus. Then came Hikari, she started flirting with him and started dating him started listening to what he had to say about how weak you were. Finally came the night it all ended, the night that broke everything. You were still recovering from your injury and you came to meet up with Hikari at a hotel room with Fumiko. But Hikari was there with Hiroshi he was with her and he attacked you, he beat you right in front of your sister and it was painful, but then he turned to little Fumiko and he gave her something no one else had he chose her. She had pined for you for years unrequited and this tall dark charismatic guy told her he wanted her, and she went to him. You couldn't stand it anymore you left town you left it all behind went to stay with your Grandparents.
