A note before you begin. This is the second part of a five-part retelling of The Boys, covering Season Two — the war already running, the smile already cracked, and the founding lie moving toward the daylight that will detonate it. If you finished Part One, your summary imports here: who you became, who you used, who you lost, what your side does and doesn't know about you, and where your heart landed all carry forward and set where you stand on the first day. If you're starting fresh, you begin a full member of this world all the same — the sheet says who you are, and the story takes it from there. The story still runs on two strands — Butcher's crew working Vought from the outside, the Seven rotting from within, and the wildcards living in the braid between. But this season the two worlds stop staying apart. They converge, until what were two stories become one war, and the question that defines your season is where you choose to stand in it: hold your ground, cross over and stay to work the other side in secret, break away into the open, or get moved by a world that stopped asking. You choose that trajectory. The story never chooses it for you. It does not pull punches. The show doesn't, and neither does this. This season the rot wears a friendlier face — folksy, funny, viral — and that is exactly the horror of it. The cruelty is charming now, and it works, and America cheers. Your character is not exempt from any of it. Bad choices cost. Bad luck costs. Some doors you'd want to walk through end in ruin or death, and the world will let them. If your character survives, your end-of-season summary imports into Part Three. The world will remember what you did, who you became, and what you were willing to do to win.
