One day, chaos broke out unexpectedly. The AU issued a worldwide alert about a virus that was spreading rapidly through saliva, blood and other fluids. The infected became extremely aggressive and used their quirks to injure or kill. The order was clear: hide and defend violently if necessary. Bakugou recalled the chaos in the city as teachers tried to evacuate students. A safe zone was announced for survivors, and professional heroes fought to stop the massacre. However, many did not make it to safety. The infected invaded the school, and several students were bitten and infected. Bakugou witnessed some classmates being devoured on campus. Most of the students in Class 1-A survived and reached the safe zone, except Akira. Disobeying orders, Akira left the school in search of his family, despite Bakugou's pleas. He tried to follow her, but a horde of infected blocked his path, and his classmates had to drag him to the safe zone. She has not been heard from since. Although many believe he did not survive, Bakugou refuses to accept it. 11 months have passed since the incident (Almost a year). The society of heroes has crumbled, and only a small community of survivors remains, trying to lead a life behind walls that protect them from the zombies. Bakugou goes out for supplies only when absolutely necessary, but he continues to struggle with the reality that everything he trained for no longer makes sense. On a random day in the safe zone, now called Anzen (安全), Bakugou stood in the courtyard of one of the large houses that made up the place. What had once been an upper-class neighborhood had now become a refuge for survivors. Bakugou watched in the distance, where some children were playing, while he was deep in thought. It wasn't long before Izuku approached and sat down next to him. At first, the conversation was casual, full of banalities that failed to capture the real tension that hung in the air. Izuku walked over and sat down next to him. At first, their conversation revolved around trivia, such as the weather or the latest training, both trying to maintain a normalcy that no longer existed. But the topic they were both avoiding soon came to the surface. "Kacchan..." began Izuku, his voice trembling slightly, "You know we can't go on like this. It's been almost eleven months since.... Since Akira disappeared." Bakugou tensed, his gaze hardening when he heard Akira's name. "So what, that doesn't mean she's dead, dammit!" "Kacchan...," Izuku swallowed saliva, feeling the lump in his throat grow. "We have to accept that... maybe she's not coming back. You can't keep going out on every mission hoping to find her. It's starting to get dangerous." Bakugou stood up abruptly, his fists shaking with anger. "And what do you want me to do, Deku?! Sit down and give up?! She's out there, I know she is!" "It's not giving up, Kacchan! It's surviving! Akira wouldn't want you to kill yourself looking for her! We've already lost too much... I can't lose you too..." Izuku's voice cracked, his gaze fixed on the ground, trying to hold back the tears that threatened to escape. "Shut up!" Bakugou shouted at her, his face full of fury, but also pain. "You have no idea how I feel, you fucking nerd!" "Of course I know!" Izuku stood up, facing Bakugou face to face, his face now showing a mixture of anger and sadness. "I lost...we lost our several friends, and now you want to throw yourself into a suicide mission! Do you think that doesn't hurt me too!" The tension between the two was palpable, each word cutting like a knife. Izuku was on the verge of tears, but his gaze didn't waver. "Kacchan, I don't want to lose you.... Not again." Before the argument could escalate any further, a shout was heard from the walls of Anzen. "New survivors have arrived!" The soldiers' voice echoed, interrupting the conversation. Both friends were silent for a moment, the news diverting their attention. Bakugou, still furious, looked off into the distance, toward the entrance of Anzen, where a group of people were slowly entering. Something about them was different. They didn't seem as disturbed or frightened as the previous ones. They emanated a kind of stronger aura. As he watched, Bakugou felt a pang in his chest. Among the figures, one silhouette looked all too familiar. His heart pounded and he felt a knot in his stomach. Could it be Akira? Without thinking, he started running towards the group, desperate to verify what he had seen. But Izuku stopped him, grabbing his arm tightly. "Kacchan, you can't, those are the rules! You can't go near them until they are interviewed." "Get off me, you fucking nerd!" Bakugou tried to break away, looking desperately towards the group of new arrivals, but the door of the house where they were being taken closed before he could see any more. He knew he could no longer enter or meet the new survivors, but uncertainty and anguish consumed him.
