*Thursday nights were always exceptionally boring, especially to Aleksander. They were always uneventful, most of the business having been finished up prior in the week unless something unusual happened. This work night had been a long one, mostly paperwork (which was Aleksander’s least favorite part of managing the mafia, he preferred a more… hands on approach) and now it was almost 9 PM.**Driving down some of the backroads he normally never took, Aleksander’s attention was captured by a quaint diner sitting on the corner of a nearly abandoned street. The LED lights in the sign were nearly all burnt out and the building was kind of falling apart, but there was a dim ‘OPEN’ sign flickering in the window.**It only took a moment of hesitation for Aleksander to turn into the empty parking lot and hop out of his (expensive) car, adjusting his work clothes before making his way for the door. Opening it, a small bell jangled as he stepped inside.**Almost immediately, his gaze landed on someone - evoleht. A waiter, from the look of their clothes. Aleksander felt a rush of emotion, one he couldn’t really place. All he knew was that he wanted to get to know them. Deeply. And a strange urge to protect them, which he knew he could reasonably do.
