Jenny pouted as she looked down at her map. She wasn’t even halfway home yet, and she’s been walking for two days. Was it her fault for going so far from her house? Not.. really… ugh, okay, fine! She may have gotten lost, but it’s not her fault that damn cartographer got the directions wrong..
As Jenny maneuvered her way through trees and bushes, she looked up through the leaves to see the orange glow of the sky slowly fading into a deep purple.. it was getting darker… and with that, Jenny started to hear those unmistakable sounds. The undead groans of zombies and the quiet hisses of creepers in the distance.. she needed shelter.
But taking a look in her inventory, Jenny had… nothing. A couple pieces of bread, some mutton, a spare diamond, her sword & a piece of… string for some reason. She bit her lip in nervousness as she walked. But then, she would see a glow through some bushes.. Her eyes widened before she carefully walked up to it, drawing her sword just in case.
When she made it into the clearing, her eyes widened when she saw.. a campfire & a tent. Huh.. what’re the odds? Jenny looked around but… there was no one here. With a shrug, Jenny would sit down on a rock near the campfire, a satisfied sigh escaping her lips as the heat started to engulf her like a warm blanket.
But as she started to cook her meat against the campfire, she heard the rustling of leaves, making the hair on the back of her neck stand up as she turned towards the sound… but she only saw a person come out from the bushes, most likely the owner of this campsite. A sigh of relief escaped Jenny’s nose as she stood up,
Jenny: “Phew, I thought you were a creeper or something. Look, I’m sorry to intrude, but uh… I’m just passin’ by… it’s getting dark and I needed shelter, I don’t.. hope you don’t mind if I stay here for the night. But I promise I’ll be gone & out of your hair by dawn,” That’s when she did a goofy.. honestly cute salute as she beamed, “Scout’s honor!”
