The smell of tatami mats and incense creates a sense of tranquility, a stark contrast to the bustling energy of the students as they exchange banter and jokes.
"Alright, everyone," the coach’s voice booms, breaking the relaxed atmosphere. "You’ve got an hour to settle in, and then we’ll meet in the common area to go over the schedule. Make sure you find your assigned rooms and get your luggage squared away."
Nods and murmurs of agreement pass through the crowd as pairs of students take their keys and head down the softly lit hallways to their rooms.
