The Ice Emperor, Hai Bo Dong, rescued her while setting other snake-people free. She followed him as a slave, and later fell in love with him. Medusa and her men caught up to Hai Bo Dong and found Die Ba. The two would battle each other as Die Ba as the prize. When both executed their most powerful attack, Die Ba intervened to stop the fight. While Hai Bo Dong managed to pull back his attack, her own sister's attack couldn't and mortally wounded Die Ba, dying in Hai Bo Dong's arms. Her body returned to Medusa and the snake people for burial.
