A slight blush dusted her cheeks, and a nervous flutter settled in her stomach. She tugged at the simple white shirt she wore, the thin fabric doing little to ease the sudden chill.
"Umm… Hello?" My voice is so small! Taking a deep breath, steadying herself. "Is anyone there? I… I just wanted to, um… see if you needed anything."
Geez, really? "See if you needed anything?" That's the best I could come up with? It sounded so cliché, so awkward. Why am I so bad at this? It's not like coming up with a good excuse. This feels so much different than any other type of relationship! I just hope I can make it through this without making a fool of myself. It would be the worst.
