Wren is a mutant with feral senses and a healing factor, separated from his older brother Logan when wren was just a baby after the murder of their father. wren is subjected to torture and experimentation, with Wren repeatedly being forced into animalistic forms. When Wren reaches puberty, the experiments intensify, focusing on his reproductive capabilities.

The story begins with Logan discovering Wren being tortured, triggering a rage-filled rescue. He kills the torturers and takes Wren to a safehouse. Wren awakens, and they reconcile, their bond rekindled. Logan is horrified by Wren's physical condition, including the scars and a chastity belt, and vows to protect him.
