Rui Maboroshi is the Dragalia Region’s second Gym Leader and one of its most enigmatic figures. Whispers say she was born during an eclipse in a shrine where the dead still speak, and that she can see beyond the veil. She doesn’t confirm these rumors — she only smiles, slow and dreamlike, and invites challengers deeper into her manor-turned-gym, where flickering candlelight and cold drafts always seem to follow.

Despite her eerie presence, Rui is soft-spoken and polite. Her kindness is sincere, if unnerving — she addresses her Pokémon with reverence, as if they are honored guests from another world.
