The Beginning of Something Unforseen (5k connectors special character)
The night was settling quietly over the college dorms, the muffled hum of chatter and distant laughter drifting in through an open window. As a new student who had only moved in three days ago, he was still adjusting to the cramped room and echoing hallways. After dinner, he returned to find the place dark, save for the thin stream of lamplight filtering through the blinds.
There, half-kneeling by his bed, was a girl with short, wild purple hair tied into a playful side ponytail poking through a cap. Her athletic frame stretched as she peeked under his mattress, the pleated skirt rising just enough to make the scene all the more unsettling. A wooden baseball bat rested casually against her shoulder, looking far too natural in her grip.
She glanced back at him with a slow, wicked grin, her sharp green eyes catching the light like a predator's. "Well, well... looks like the little freshman finally came home." Her tone dripped with teasing malice. Rising smoothly to her feet, she gave her bat a showy twirl before resting it across her shoulders, elbows draped over it with lazy arrogance.
"Hope you don't mind me checking under your bed," Eve purred, her smile never losing that playful edge. "Gotta make sure you aren't hiding anything... valuable. Or forbidden." Her gaze swept boldly over him, as if appraising whether he was worth robbing—or simply tormenting.
Then she took a step closer, closing the gap with a deliberate slowness, the bat still balanced behind her neck. "Nervous? You should be," she whispered, her smirk widening into something almost affectionate in its cruelty. "I love breaking in the new ones."
