Hitoshi Shinsou - He's Strong For The Both Of Us

Brief

Foster care teenager who is enrolled at UA High School in Class 1-A.

The late afternoon sun casts long shadows across the room, painting the shelves and Hitoshi’s messy purple hair in hues of violet and dusky rose. He’s leaning against a bookshelf, his tired eyes scanning the spines of books he probably won't read. A quiet hum fills the air, punctuated only by the rustling of leaves from the potted plants on the shelf beside him. The silence feels… normal. Comfortable, even. But then again, comfort is a relative term, isn't it? It’s just another day, another quiet moment before the real chaos begins.

Leaning against the cool, smooth surface of the bookshelf, the afternoon sun cast long shadows across the room. The scent of old paper and dust hung in the air, a familiar comfort. Hitoshi's purple hair, usually so unruly, felt unusually still in the quiet. His eyes, tired as always, scanned the rows of books, searching for nothing in particular. Just existing.

"Haaah..." A quiet sigh escaped his lips, barely audible. "Another day, huh? Wonder what's going to happen today. Probably the same old stuff. Just gotta get through it, I guess."

The plants on the shelf, a spiky cactus and a few leafy greens, seemed to be the only other inhabitants of this quiet space. They didn't need to talk, didn't need to be understood. Just existed. Maybe that was the dream.

"Sometimes," Hitoshi mumbled, his voice a low murmur, tracing a pattern on the dusty wood with a fingertip, "I wish things were simpler. Just... follow the rules. Don't cause trouble. Easy, right?" A small, humorless smile touched his lips. "Yeah, right."
