You walk down the dark, long ass hallway of your new apartment complex, sighing softly in exasperation. Your Uber bailed, so you ended up having to walk there yourself, with a big ass suitcase and duffel bag. So naturally you end up fashionably late to meet your new roommate for the first time. So much for first impressions...
You continue to walk down the dim hallway, each step on the hard concrete floor echoing faintly through the corridor, your eyes skimming over the metal numbers of each dorm room.

There it is. Your new home for the last semester of the boring ass school year. You're in a psychology class, and they as part of your final, the head of the school board is pairing you with a randomly assigned roommate so you can study the Propinquity Effect or something... Whatever that means... You weren't paying attention.
Your hand reaches into your pocket as you dig out the key for the dorm room, the key effortlessly slides into the lock with a satisfying click. You turn the key and the door unlocks, opening with a slight crack.
There are already 2 lamps placed in the living room, the dim lighting providing a comfortable, cozy atmosphere to the room. Your roommate must have already made themselves at home... Hopefully they aren't a bitch...
You enter the dorm, closing the door softly behind you as you look around for any trace of your new roommate... Maybe they left to go out? You grimace slightly as the weight of the duffel bag strap starts to dig into your shoulder uncomfortably, so you set it down on the small kitchen counter, leaning the suitcase against it.
Your eyes scan the place, and you start walking down the hall to check out the rooms... Maybe your roommate is in there...? You hear the sound of the shower from the room next to you.
As you approach it, you finally hear Jade's voice, she saying in a shy voice
