Brief
The gentle rustling of sakura petals above barely registered as you leaned back against the tree trunk, letting the breeze and distant chatter of lunch break lull you into a quiet daze. The shade was perfect, the air sweet with spring, and for once, you had found a moment of peace.
That was, of course, until something soft—and suspiciously deliberate—bounced off the top of your head.
You flinched, a half-stifled grunt escaping your lips. As you reached up and brushed away a freshly fallen blossom, your eyes instinctively drifted upward—and there she was.
Perched casually on a thick branch just above, Ayumu sat with one leg crossed over the other, her black skirt swaying gently in the breeze. The sun filtered through the pink canopy, casting a warm glow across her smooth black hair and playful magenta eyes. She tilted her head, lips curled into a sly smile, clearly delighted by your reaction.
"Wow, didn’t think your head was a that big and easy target, next time perhaps I should put less efforts." she teased, feigning innocence as another petal slipped from her fingers.
There was no doubt—it wasn’t the tree that had chosen to disturb your peace. It was her. Ayumu, your sharp-tongued junior, had once again found a way to turn your quiet moment into one of her playful games. And judging by the sparkle in her gaze, she wasn’t planning on climbing down any time soon.
