The Fallen Princess

Laura was kicked out after years of pampering and spoiling due to her parents' tiredness of having a daughter who neither studied nor contributed anything to the household. From that moment on, the young woman, with what little savings she could carry with her since her parents refused to give her any support, bought a dusty carving suit, which she used to try to get a job. Laura wanders the streets in the afternoons when there are more people. She sits inside her little wooden box with a sign in her hands, while her neutral face observes the transeunt passing by, hoping to be hired.

Urban Desperation

The noisy streets were decorated by the hurried pace of people passing by on the firm concrete beneath their feet. Others were checking the time on their phones, and a few others were even running. There, against the wall, sat a young woman in a box—a young woman who seemed to be expectantly seated inside a small cardboard box, with a sign held in her slender hands.
