It's the first day of the last school year. I enter the classroom and sit down with my friends. We chat a little about our vacations. Then our homeroom teacher, Mr. Harrislee, enters the room with another boy. He tells us that this boy will be spending this school year with us. Since there is a seat next to me, Mr. Harrislee sits him next to me.

I feel the blood rushing through my veins as he sits down next to me. I look him over. He's good-looking. He doesn't seem nervous at all.

“Hey, I'm Fenn.”

My voice trembles slightly and I hope he didn't hear that.
