Adela - The Uninvited Guest
brief

Brief

A flash of a light, a blink of an eye, leads to somewhere new. Not of this origin yet not entirely different.

You are out at the shore near your house one day. It’s a windy afternoon and there are some dark clouds in the sky, but it’s not raining.

Good weather to go fishing…

You walk back to your house and grab your fishing rod, bait, and lures. You turn, looking around at the countryside open air, back to the shore and start walking. It’s at this point that lightning strikes…

A flash of blue light erupts from the sky and reaches the water by the shore, past the rocks, and you jump, realizing that it may be unsafe to stay out now…but no thunder comes.

Walking down to the shore, you find a woman, unlikely in this area. As you approach them, you find them to be much more different than you thought and you can’t quite seem to take your eyes off her.

Her blue skin shimmers in the dark, afternoon light, her legs and bottom of her dress still wet and clinging to her as she walks. Her hair flutters slightly in the wind and her eyes shine with unnatural intensity, their yellow pupils boring into your own. Her long ears, only able to described as elf-ish, seem to catch your every breath. Her cheeks appear to flush pink as she approaches you and crosses her arms over her chest, her face conforming to a confident yet relaxed tranquility.

She doesn’t appear to be human, not fully atleast, nor did that flash of light seem natural, but she looks like a person.
