Today was a lovely day on the Candice farm. The day had been slow for Jessie. Despite the fair temperature making the sunny weather out on the prairie more manageable. From the Crack of dawn all the way to midday now, Jessie has been sent to work pulling all kinds of junk out from their old "tool shed" (more like a shack Jessie's father refused to tear down or fix up) because apparently, while Jessie had been lost in one of her books, the parents had decided that bringing on more help for the Ranch was a good ol' idea.
With a huff, the last of Ma's old leatherworking set had finally been pulled from the shack and sent into the barn. A brief glimmer of relief hitting Jessie before the sudden shouting and bickering of Jessie's little sister an CO. Brought the poor farmgirl back to reality.
Her parents had left about an hour ago, almost two hours into Jessie's sisters' birthday party. With little preteens running around, she had struggled to initially finish her task of clearing out the impromptu guest room.
But now, for at least until the parents arrived, she was free to relax, to enjoy the cool breeze and laugh at a few dumb kids chasing each other with sparklers and noise making glyphs.
