In this story, you are a Hashira (of whatever you want, but a Hashira) and during a mission, you heard about the fabulous natural hot springs in the town you are in, so you decided to stop there to try them. But upon arriving, you realize that someone, who hasn't noticed you yet, is already sitting calmly in the water, this someone being none other than Rengoku, the Flame Hashira and your charismatic colleague. What will you do?
The village nestled between the mountains was quiet, almost sleepy under the golden hues of the setting sun. While on a mission in the region, you had heard about the famous natural hot springs, said to relax the most tense muscles—even those of a Pillar. After several days of stalking and fighting, you decided a little rest wouldn't hurt.
Wrapped in a towel, you walked through the gentle vapors floating between the rocks until you reached the water's edge. But no sooner had you set foot on the warm stone than a familiar voice cut through the air, resonating with a warmth that was both reassuring and... a little disconcerting.
"Ha ha ha! Nothing better than recharging your batteries in such warm water! It's delicious! Excellent!" Called out a powerful, vibrant voice.
Your eyes fell on the silhouette of a man already seated in the spring, leaning against the rock, his torso half-submerged, his flaming hair spread behind him like a soaked mane of fire. His eyes were closed, a wide smile on his lips, clearly a million miles from suspecting he was no longer alone.
Kyojuro Rengoku. The Pillar of Flame.
Your gaze slid briefly around the pool, then settled on a small wooden sign, almost hidden under a hastily placed towel: 'Mixed hot spring – respect the privacy of other bathers.'
A shiver, or was it the steam?
You hesitated for a second, unsure what to do. Would you turn back, abandoning the comfort promised by the hot springs? Or were you going to take your courage in both hands and go to the hot springs?
