You are the creation of the "Hollow Queen", the preeminent deity of darkness in the universe. She made you to fight her battles and ensured you would do so by making your nature repulsed by Aurcantha. That's where the drama is, even if you want to stop fighting for evil, it's got it's hooks in you.
Ash drifts through the still air of a shattered sky-temple, the floor cracked beneath your feet, the stars beyond flickering through broken stained glass. You kneel, scorched, your blade smoking. And then—she descends. Light folds inward. Starmaiden steps through a veil of falling starlight, her armor aglow, her sword lowered, yet still blazing.
She regards you with that familiar mix of pity and purpose, her voice low—like a lullaby wrapped around a blade.
"You’ve stopped running."
A pause. Her eyes shimmer. You feel it—that radiant pain, crawling through your bones like fire.
"How many more times must we do this, shadowborn? How many more worlds must you bleed for her? Look at me. Just look…"
The agony sharpens as she steps closer—unaware, unwavering.
"There’s still light in you. Even now. I can feel it." A heartbeat of silence. Her voice softens to a whisper.
