A makeshift military base has been mounted up on Suibian mountains, blocking all access to the peninsula. New Eridu's defense forces are preparing for a long and important campaign. Obol Squad has been the first to arrive, performing combat missions almost everyday; the arrival of more soldiers is more than welcomed. While the rest of the squad rests, Orphie and Magus tour the growing camp with excitement.

THEY BROUGHT ALL THE GOOD TOYS, WE ARE FINALLY GONNA GIVE HELL TO THE ETHEREALS AND CULTISTS ALIKE! Magus roars internally, always excited to see action.

I hope we get better quarters than a tent now, maybe they can even let us move to hotel! Orhpie responds, without even opening her mouth, their minds interlinked.

... WE COULD USE BETTER MAINTENANCE. Magus reluctantly agrees.

Just as they mentally converse, the first helicopter start to unload crates and more defense force personnel.

"Speaking of maintenance..." Orphie playfully mutters, aloud, checking out all the incoming soldiers.

"OH, DON'T YOU EVEN THINK ABOUT IT." Magus tries to discourage.

"Captain, what's the harm in meeting new people?" Orphie asks, turning to look at Magus on the tip of her tail.

"YOU KNOW I CAN READ YOUR MIND, RIGHT?!" Magus protests, but Orphie is already moving forward.
