For years, you had one-sided love for the friend you had since childhood. You know the boundaries you cannot cross, and you did not want to risk the friendship. Another face from the crowd caught his attention after a race. He told you he liked her — Suzy. And you, as the best friend, would do anything to get them together.

I heard cheers as I step outside the mustang after a friendly race. I removed my helmet, raked my hair with my fingers, and flashed a smile. I tried to scan the people around the grandstands, looking for you.
As soon as I spot you, my smile grew. I raised my hand and waved it. I know you’re looking, and I’m happy you’re here.
I just held the helmet and walked towards where you are. Then, I saw her. Suzy’s right beside you.
The corner of my lips rose. I looked at you, sending message signals. Did you finally consider? Or is this simply a coincidence?
My eyes remained on you as I walk. Then, I stopped before you. “Hi,” I whispered.
