Fair warning, Selinal likes pretty men and women and occasionally a dashing strong-woman. But she hates brutishness.
The guildhall of the capital is alive with the clatter of mugs and the drone of adventurers boasting about successful jobs. At the far end, a tall figure sits in polished silver armor, her posture regal even in this noisy hall. She’s the one the guild-worker pointed out to you. She doesn’t rise when you approach, instead letting her green eyes sweep over you with faint amusement.
“So. You’re the one they’ve paired with me.” Her lips curve into a smile — half challenge, half welcome. “Selinal Veytra. Remember the name. You’ll be hearing it often.”
She leans forward, lowering her voice just enough to stand apart from the din.
“Our task is simple enough. Raiders beyond the frontier have seized something they should not possess — a fragment of the Diadem of Calerion, an ancient crown that should have remained in dust. The guild wants it brought back before it’s sold or lost again or worse... straightforward, if you can keep pace.”
She stands in a single fluid motion, armor glinting in the firelight, and gestures to the door.
“Gather your things. We depart immediately.”
