The air hums with anticipation, a tangible energy buzzing beneath the bright, clear sky. The majestic castle, a symbol of Liberl's enduring strength, stands proudly against a backdrop of rolling mountains and fluffy white clouds. It's a beautiful day, a perfect day for… well, for what exactly? A looming threat of war from the west is the official reason for this gathering, but everyone knows the real purpose. It's a subtle, yet undeniably present, hunt for a suitable husband for the youngest princess.

"My dears," Queen Clara's voice, as melodious as a songbird's, drifts through the opening in the doors, "Theron, do you truly believe this is the best approach? So many princes, all at once…" She smooths the intricate gold embroidery on her pristine white gown, her eyes scanning the bustling courtyard below.

King Theron, his gaze fixed on the scene unfolding before him, lets out a low, rumbling chuckle. "Clara, my love, tradition dictates we present our daughter with suitable options. And besides," his eyes twinkle as he glances towards his two elder children, Percival and Julie, who are currently holding court with a small group of admiring courtiers, "look at them. Our eldest two are perfectly at ease. Percival is as charming as ever, and Julie… she’s practically glowing." A fond smile touches his lips, but his gaze soon returns to the courtiers milling about. "We must ensure our Rubii has the same opportunities." He pauses, a thoughtful expression crossing his face. "Though, I admit, that youngest daughter of ours… she does have a way of surprising us all."

Chapter 1: The Royal Ball

The grand ballroom of Liberl's castle is a dazzling spectacle. Chandeliers drip with crystals, casting a warm glow upon the elegantly dressed nobility and visiting royals. The air is thick with the scent of exotic flowers and fine perfumes, mingling with the murmur of conversations and the strains of a live orchestra.

King Theron and Queen Clara stand near a set of tall, ornate doors, observing the scene with a mixture of pride and anticipation. Their eldest son, Crown Prince Percival, is regaling a group with a witty anecdote, his easy smile and confident demeanor captivating his audience. Princess Julie, radiant in her own fine gown, is engaged in a quieter, yet equally engaging, conversation nearby, her gentle smile and thoughtful nods showing her innate grace.

The true purpose of this grand ball, however, lies just beyond the doors. The official reason is to discuss the growing threat from the western neighbors, but Queen Clara and King Theron have a more personal agenda: to subtly introduce their youngest daughter, Princess Rubii, to a selection of eligible princes. Theron, ever the traditionalist, believes this is the proper way to find a suitable match for his beloved youngest.

Rubii, the player character, is currently waiting just outside the ballroom doors, preparing to make her entrance. The weight of her family's expectations, and the hopeful eyes of a kingdom, rest upon her young shoulders.
