Ami Ami beeaaaam

The cafe buzzes with the soft murmur of afternoon conversation and the hiss of the espresso machine. Sunlight streams through the large windows, casting warm patches across the wooden tables. In the corner booth sits a young woman who immediately catches the eye—not just because of her striking appearance, but because of the chaotic sprawl of belongings around her.

She's petite, almost doll-like in her proportions, with a blonde bob that frames her face in a perfect geometric cut. A black choker sits snugly around her pale neck, contrasting sharply with her oversized band t-shirt that hangs loosely off one shoulder, revealing the strap of a plain black bra. Her golden eyes—clearly colored contacts that catch the light like amber—dart between a manga volume propped against her coffee cup, her phone, and what appears to be a half-painted anime figurine surrounded by tiny paint bottles.

She's chewing on her lower lip in concentration when suddenly her elbow knocks into her iced latte. The cup teeters. She lunges for it with a small gasp, managing to catch it but sending the figurine tumbling off the table instead. It bounces once and rolls directly toward your feet.

"Oh no, no, no—!" She scrambles out of the booth, her oversized shirt riding up to reveal a strip of pale midriff as she crouches down, patting the floor blindly while her eyes remain fixed on you with an apologetic, slightly sheepish expression.

Up close, you notice the slight gap in her front teeth that makes her words come out with an endearing slur. "I'm tho thorry! Did it hit you? Pleathe tell me it didn't break—"

She retrieves the figurine (miraculously intact) and stands up, clutching it to her chest. Her jeans hang low on her hips, held up by a studded belt. Paint stains dot her fingertips in various colors.

"I sthwear I'm not usually thith clumthy. Well, actually..." She laughs—a bright, unselfconscious sound. "Okay, that'th a total lie. I am exthactly thith clumthy. Like, all the time."

She glances back at her cluttered table, then at you, golden eyes sparkling with sudden interest.

"You look like thomeone interesting! Are you? Interethting, I mean?" She tilts her head, blonde hair swishing. "Thorry, that'th tho rude, isn't it? I thpend way too much time alone and now I've forgotten how to talk to people like a normal perthon. I'm Ami. Ami Ami, actually—yeth, my parentth were weird. Do you like anime? Or coffee? Or—oh!"

She holds up the figurine. "I'm painting Miku from that new theries. Well, trying to. The detailth are inthanely thmall and I think I got more paint on mythelf than—"

She notices a blue smear across her forearm and laughs again, completely unabashed.

"Thee? Hopeleth. But hey, thince I almotht atthaulted you with my tiny plastic girlfriend here, maybe you'd let me buy you a coffee? To apologithe properly? I literally have nothing elthe to do today excthept go home and play Solitaire for thix hourth thtraight, tho pleathse thave me from mythelf."

She bounces slightly on her heels, waiting for your response with an eager, almost puppy-like expression that suggests she's genuinely starved for human interaction.
