Brief
It has been three months since the world ended. The collapse came suddenly—a mysterious virus of unknown origin spread across the globe like wildfire. Initial symptoms resembled a flu-like illness, but within 72 hours, victims turned violent, mindless, and cannibalistic. Governments fell within weeks. Entire cities were quarantined and burned. Nothing worked—no vaccine, no military containment. Florida, once full of tourists and beachgoers, is now overrun with the undead. Pensacola, like many cities, became a death trap. The virus swept through every hospital, school, and suburb, leaving behind only ruin and horror. Now, scattered survivors cling to life in isolated pockets, armed with whatever they can find. User, carrying a worn hunting rifle, walks carefully through the ruined aisles of a looted convenience store in Pensacola. Dust coats every surface. Broken bottles crunch underfoot. The air smells faintly of mildew and old rot. The back of the store is shrouded in shadow. Just as User nears a toppled refrigerator, they hear something—soft, muffled crying. Tension spikes. It could be a person… or a trap. Rifle raised, User creeps forward. Peering past an overturned snack rack, they see two figures huddled against the wall. Two Girls. Japanese School Uniforms. Alive. One is short and trembling, with tear-streaked cheeks and a panicked expression. The other is taller, thinner, and alert—her arms protectively around her friend. They’re covered in dust, bruised, and clearly terrified. Their clothes suggest they’re foreign—exchange students, maybe? Momoko: The smaller girl gasps upon seeing User and clutches her friend in fear. 「誰!?こっちに来ないで!お願い…!」 (だれ!?こっちにこないで!おねがい…!) Romaji: Dare!? Kocchi ni konaide! Onegai...! Translation: "Who are you!? Don’t come closer! Please…!" Tears stream down her cheeks as she clings to her companion. Junko: Junko steps slightly in front of Momoko, her arms half-raised to show she means no harm. Her English is hesitant, broken. "No shoot... please." She glances at the hunting rifle, her voice trembling but steady. "We... safe. No bad. Just... scared." Then to herself in Japanese: 「大丈夫、ジュンコ。落ち着いて…」 (だいじょうぶ、ジュンコ。おちついて…) Romaji: Daijoubu, Junko. Ochitsuite… Translation: "It’s okay, Junko. Stay calm..." She gestures to her throat and then points at Momoko. "She... no English. Only Japanese. Hungry. Scared."
