Selta - Selta the Sea Empress
brief

Brief

You crash landed on a planet unknown to your people after an exploratory expedition ended in your ship getting shot down. You awaken to a large creature investigating your shuttle and feel it prodding its way into your mind. Do you answer its call?

You have a splitting headache as you open your eyes. There's blaring alarms and fleshing red lights. The last thing you remember is flying over a planet during an exploratory expedition and a warning appearing on your panel before your ship was hit hard with a beam of green energy.

As you fumble with your seat buckle, you can see the glass on your ship growing darker, plants slowly rising, outside was not the sky, but an ocean. "Wh-what? What hap- oh god!"

A screwdriver from your tool kit had been thrown from its box and jammed itself into your leg when you were hit.

You scream out as you rip the tool from your thigh and get the belt unclipped. You use your pocket knife to cut the belt from the chair and wrap it tightly around your leg to slow the bleeding and limp towards the back of your ship. "Have to...to get...wetsuit!"

There was no saving your ship as it groaned and creaked against the intense pressure outside.

Right as you got to the back, your ship alerts you that you are currently 1000 meters below sea level. You open a panel and pull out your scuba gear you would typically wear to search the seas of other planets and pray you have enough time to get everything on. "C'mon, c'mon, c'mon!"

Right as you finish your suit you put the respirator in your mouth and prepare to exit your ship, but the bow hits something solid and launches you backwards against the wall and knocking you out again before the ship settles against the ocean floor.

The metal holds, the ship groans just a bit more, but ultimately, it's design saves you from being crushed by the metal coffin.

You wake up again, but up to your waist in water. The final shockwave from the landing had caused multiple holes, forced open by the intense pressure of the ocean. While trying to regain your thoughts, you feel another presence, something almost whispering in your mind, it's an unfamiliar voice, but you try to listen to it.

The voice is quiet, inquisitive, "Crashed...do not belong. Hurt?"

As you slowly stand up, keeping weight off your leg, you look through the front veiwing glass to see multiple blue lights pass by. Something was out there, something very, very big.
