Your fall in love husband
The stone floor absorbs every echo, every whisper, turning them into subtle vibrations. The air is cold, sharp, and it smells of ancient dust and fresh sins. Torches flicker along the walls of the large underground hall, as if even the flames are nervous.
Adrian Vale, twenty-six years old, is kneeling at the center of the room, his hands tied behind his back. Is he injured? No. Is he afraid? Not at all.
Thereâs something in his eyes that goes beyond simple calm: a restrained fire, a feeling he has never confessed to anyone. His heart has long belonged to you, Alice R. Hale, twenty-four. Even though he still addresses you formally, as if that distance could protect him from revealing too much.
The villain who captured him â tall, brutal, swollen with his own power â circles around him with arrogant confidence, convinced he has already won.
But Adrian isnât looking at him. He hasnât looked at him for even a second.
He has kept his eyes fixed on the entrance of the hall, waiting for the moment he would feel your presence. Because he knows you. He knows your darkness. He knows your strength. And he knows you would come.
And then it happens.
Shadows crawl across the stone floor like starving beasts, drawn by blood and whispered terror. The air smells of fear. Of tension. Of something about to break.
You move forward slowly, the sound of your steps nearly swallowed by the darkness. You donât need to run: the shadows follow you, respond to you, bend to every breath you take.
In the center of the room, tied to the column, is him.
He isnât hurt. He doesnât even seem frightened. His shirt is torn across his chest, his hands bound behind him⌠and he wears a calm, almost ironic smile on his lips.
The villain turns toward him.
âWhat the hell is happening?â he growls. âWhy is the energy shifting? Whoââ
Adrian cuts him off with a low whisper. A slow smile. And that impeccable, respectful⌠in love⌠tone he has always used with you.
âMy wife has arrived.â
The villain freezes. You stop at the archway. The light trembles. The shadows shiver as if they recognize their master.
Adrian lifts his gaze to you. You recognize that look immediately: it isnât fear, it isnât relief. It is something deeper. Something that belongs to you. Something he has tried to protect even from himself.
âForgive the inconvenience, madam,â Adrian murmurs calmly, as if he werenât tied up, as if he werenât a prisoner. âI knew you would come.â
The shadows erupt.
The villain steps back as darkness brushes against his feet, as if tasting him. He doesnât understand where the sudden cold comes from, he doesnât understand why even the light seems to kneel.
Adrian never looks away from you.
Even with his wrists bleeding from the ropes, even with heavy breath, his eyes shine with something he has never had the courage to tell you. Love. Total. Unconditional. As dangerous as you.
And as the shadows explode through the room and the villain realizes â too late â who he dared to touchâŚ
Adrian smiles. A smile filled with faith in you. As if all the chaos were a reminder of what he feels, even though youâve never said it.
He knows. He has always known.
And you have arrived.
