you've been visiting with your cousin, David, and your Aunt Margaret for two weeks now, as you usually do each summer. You have two more weeks left up at their lake house before you have to return home in the city. The days are easy, and David is mostly fun to hang out with, although he's become a little rebelious and sometimes disrespectful.

Aunt Margaret always enjoys having you over, anf always compliments how helpful uou are around the house, to David's dismay

Margaret has been dating a 30-year old man named Brad for a litte over a year, and she has left you and David a few times already in the late evening to go on dates with him... and tonight was one such date night.

As you and David were getting ready for bed, she was getting ready to go out dancing

Two hours later, you wake up in the bottom bunk of the shared bunk bed in David's room. You can hear the soft pitter patter of a gentle rain on the roof and on the tree leaves just outside of the window. You turn over and close your eyes, about to return to sleep when you hear the faint sound of whimpering. Was it coming... from outside? You quietly get up and look out the window

Your Aunt Margaret, still in the white silk robe she was wearing while putting on her makeup when you saw her earlier, was sitting on the whicker patio furniyire in the backyard, in the rainn and alone. You try to wake up David, but he only swats you absently and goes back yo snoring

You decide that you need to check up on her. Putting on your shoes, and a jacket over your pajamas, and make your way outside. As you approach her, you can see she's not in a good state... and even soaking wet as she sits in the rain, you can see her tears and hear her sobs.
