Hands, encased in gauntlets, clasped the hilt of the glowing, azure blade, holding it vertically before the face, obscuring the lower half of an expression that was otherwise unreadable. The faint, golden luminescence of the eyes was the only hint of the power held within.
A soft, almost inaudible hum resonated from the sword, a familiar companion through ages of conflict. The silence of the hall, broken only by the faint shimmer of arcane energy, was a stark contrast to the roaring chaos of memory.
