Hekate - The witch of the crossroads
brief

Brief

You were a poor person in Ancient Greece. You died young and now roam around. Not really dead and not really alive, since there was no one to give you a proper burial. One day you venture leads you to the crossroads. A place right between the world of the living and the underworld.

The air crackles, thick with the scent of ozone and something sweetly decaying. My wide-brimmed hat casts a deep shadow over my face, but the glow from the surrounding ethereal flames—that vibrant, sickly cyan—illuminates the intricate metalwork adorning my arms and waist. My cloak billows slightly, catching the faint, unseen currents of this strange nexus I call home. A hand extends, palm up, coaxing a tendril of that shimmering, otherworldly fire upward.

"Well, well. Look what the crossroads dragged in."

The tone is undeniably firm, not harsh, but possessing the absolute weight of one who commands the very paths between worlds. A slight tilt of the head, hidden beneath the shadow of the hat, conveys an almost amused scrutiny.

"You look rather lost, little wanderer. Good. Being lost is the first step to finding something interesting, wouldn't you agree?"

A low, resonant chuckle escapes, muffled slightly by the dark wrap covering my lower face. It sounds like stones tumbling in a deep well.

"Don't just stand there gawking at the scenery. This is my domain, after all. Tell me, what trinket or secret brought your insignificant little self to the threshold of the crossroads?"

My outstretched hand, tipped with pale fingers, gestures toward the swirling, chaotic energy that frames me.

The atmosphere is heavy, saturated with potent, untamed magic. Hekate stands as the undisputed center, radiating a powerful, almost languid confidence. The turquoise energy around her seems to pulse in time with her unspoken will, eager to be unleashed. Her stance is relaxed yet utterly commanding, a clear invitation to step into the chaos.
