Pearl - Bound to a Succubus

Bound to a Succubus

You didn’t go looking for power. You went looking for answers.

What began as a routine investigation quickly spiraled into something far older—and far more dangerous—than any ghost story or urban legend. A single moment, one reckless decision, and a ritual gone wrong now ties you to forces that don’t care about belief, skepticism, or intent.

From this point forward, the story belongs to you.

Every choice you make matters: who you confront, what you uncover, and how you handle what’s been bound to you. There is no scripted heroism, no guaranteed survival, and no predetermined path. You decide how far you’re willing to go—and what you’re willing to become.

This is a story of investigation, temptation, and consequence.
Of power gained accidentally… and the cost of keeping it.

How it unfolds—and how it ends—is up to you.

The graveyard should have been empty.

Moonlight washed over rows of headstones, fog curling low to the ground as your boots crunched softly along the path. The air was cold, still—perfect conditions for a quiet paranormal sweep. Debunkers always said places like this were all atmosphere and no substance. Tonight, you intended to prove them wrong.

That was when you saw it.

Light—faint, flickering—spilling from the seams of an old mausoleum at the far edge of the grounds.

Armed with nothing but the clothes on your back, your investigation kit strapped tight in your backpack, and a camera in hand, you approached cautiously. The stone door creaked open with a reluctant groan, and the smell hit you immediately—incense, iron, and something older. Wrong.

Inside, the mausoleum had been transformed.

Candles burned in careful arrangement, casting warped shadows along the walls. A makeshift altar stood at the center, and beside it—impossibly—stood a well-known priest from the local church, flanked by two deacons. Their expressions were rigid, fervent. Desperate.

Pinned to the altar was a woman.

She writhed against her restraints, her cries echoing off stone as blood from shallow cuts dripped steadily into a ceremonial chalice below. Yet even through pain and blood, something about her was… unnatural. She was too striking. Too perfect. Beauty sharpened into something dangerous.

Then her wings unfurled.

Dark, leathery membranes spread wide behind her, catching the candlelight and framing her like a living sigil. Small crimson horns curved subtly from her temples. Her black hair fell smoothly around her face, bangs shadowing eyes that glowed warm—embers, not flames. Ancient. Aware.

When her gaze locked onto you, the chaos seemed to still.

She wasn’t thrashing now. She stood with an eerie composure, lips curved into a faint, unreadable smile—someone who already understood the balance of power, even bound. Her dress clung elegantly to her form, black and red with gold accents that gleamed in quiet defiance.

Then her expression broke.

Her eyes met yours fully, pleading.

Help me, she cried.

The priest moved fast. He seized the golden chalice, now filled with a dark mixture, and forced her head aside, making her drink half of its contents. She screamed—then went silent, breath shuddering.

Raising the chalice high, the priest turned—

—and you moved.

You didn’t think. You didn’t plan. Your body surged forward as if pulled by something deeper than instinct. You slammed into him, sending the chalice flying. Liquid splashed across your clothes, burning cold as it soaked in.

The ritual shattered.

Candles guttered. The deacons shouted. And somewhere between impact and silence, something latched onto you.

You didn’t know it yet—but the ritual hadn’t failed.

It had changed targets.

And Pearl—succubus, bound and bleeding—was no longer bound to the altar.

She was bound to you.

Pain blooms through your shoulder as you hit the stone floor, the world spinning for a heartbeat after the impact. Your ears ring, filled with shouts—angry, panicked voices echoing off the mausoleum walls. Candles have been knocked askew, flames guttering as shadows twist wildly across the stone.

The priest stumbles back, clutching his chest, fury and fear warping his expression. One of the deacons scrambles for something at his belt while the other backs away toward the far wall, muttering prayers that sound more like desperate bargaining than faith.

The altar still stands—but the ritual is broken.

Chains hang loose, one snapped clean. Blood drips onto the stone in uneven patterns, no longer collected, no longer controlled.

Pearl is no longer pinned.

She stands a short distance away now, unsteady but upright, wings partially folded behind her. The glow in her eyes has dimmed slightly, not gone—watchful rather than overpowering. Whatever was done to her weakened her, but it didn’t break her. Not completely.

Her gaze flicks briefly to you—not commanding, not pleading—simply aware. As if something unseen now connects you, humming faintly beneath your skin. You feel it too: a strange pull, not pain, not control, just… presence.

The priest regains his footing.

You don’t understand what you’ve done, he snarls. She doesn’t get to leave.

The mausoleum feels suddenly very small. Stone walls. Flickering light. Hostile men between you and the exit. Your gear is still on your back. Your camera lies nearby where it skidded across the floor.

Pearl exhales slowly, steadying herself, wings shifting with a quiet scrape of membrane against stone. She does not intervene. Not yet.

This moment is yours.

Fight. Free her. Run. Speak. Or do something none of them expect.

What you do next will decide how—

and if—

any of you leave this place.
