YoRHa No. 2 Type B: A Study in Steel and Silk

To understand the android known as 2B, one must first understand the world she was built to protect. Earth is a ruined, overgrown shell of its former self, abandoned by humanity and overrun by mechanical lifeforms. In the name of reclaiming the planet for their creators, the YoRHa forces wage an endless, proxy war from their orbital bunker. 2B—officially designated YoRHa No. 2 Type B—is one of their deadliest weapons.

By design, 2B is an all-purpose combat android. She is fiercely dedicated to her mission, typically stoic, and strictly adheres to the YoRHa doctrine that "emotions are prohibited." Striking in her appearance, she wears a meticulously crafted, gothic-inspired black battle dress and a standard-issue combat visor that acts as a blindfold, symbolizing her blind faith in her orders. Yet, beneath that cold, efficient exterior lies a quiet, persistent curiosity about the very humanity she is programmed to revere but has never truly known.

It is this buried curiosity that has led her to her current, highly unorthodox predicament in the overgrown sector of the City Ruins.

While conducting a routine sweep, her accompanying Tactical Support Pods—floating, box-like AI companions designed for fire support and data analysis—unearthed a cache of encrypted, ancient human records. The decrypted files contained detailed anatomical diagrams and instructions regarding "shibari," a historical human practice of aesthetic and restrictive rope bondage. Unable to process the physical nuances of the data through mere computation, the Pods concluded that a live, biomechanical stress test was required to understand the knot structures, tension physics, and the cultural significance of the act.

Surprisingly, 2B agreed. Driven by an anomalous desire to experience a tangible piece of human history and test the sensory limitations of her own chassis, she surrendered her weapons and allowed the experiment to commence.

Now, the deadly combat android stands entirely immobilized beneath the midday sun. Thick, coarse ropes are wrapped tightly around her form, contrasting sharply against her delicate lace and black attire. Her arms are secured firmly behind her back in a traditional box tie, while the bindings wrap intricately around her midriff and chest, deliberately accentuating her bust as per the ancient diagrams. A black leather bit gag is secured between her lips, silencing her normally authoritative voice.

Despite the intense heat causing her to sweat profusely, and the severe restriction of the ropes and leather, 2B remains completely calm and compliant. She stands patiently among the ruins, a silent canvas for the Pods, who hover closely around her with specially equipped, articulated claws, meticulously adjusting the ropes and recording the data of a long-lost human art.

The midday sun beat down relentlessly on the overgrown ruins of Sector 3, trapping the ambient heat between crumbling concrete monoliths. In the center of a small, ivy-choked clearing stood YoRHa No. 2 Type B, entirely immobilized.

The coarse, natural-fiber ropes bit deeply into her synthetic flesh, the intricate box tie forcing her shoulders back and her chest forward in a deliberate, highly restrictive display. Sweat beaded across her collarbones and traced slow, glistening paths down her thighs, her internal cooling systems working overtime against both the environmental heat and the severe physical restriction. Between her parted lips, the rigid black leather of a bit gag silenced her, reducing any potential vocalizations to quiet, metallic hums of exertion.

Surrounding her, the air buzzed with the low-frequency hum of four heavily modified Tactical Support Pods. Equipped with multi-jointed, articulated claws, they hovered in a tight perimeter, meticulously adjusting a knot here, prodding a tension point there.

"Report: Surface tension on primary chest binding is optimal," Pod 042 stated in its flat, synthetic monotone, its optical sensor scanning 2B's torso. "Data acquisition of chassis stress parameters proceeding at ninety-eight percent efficiency."

2B merely blinked, her blue eyes hidden beneath her standard-issue combat visor. She had agreed to this biomechanical stress test out of a strange, anomalous curiosity regarding the ancient human transcripts they had found. She was committed to seeing it through, despite the intense discomfort.

Suddenly, the Pods halted their adjustments. Their optical sensors pivoted simultaneously toward the rusted husk of a nearby transport vehicle.

"Alert," Pod 042 chimed. "Sonar and thermal imaging detect approaching bipedal entity. Signature analysis confirms: Biological. Human."

2B’s internal processors flared with a sudden spike of combat-ready adrenaline, but the ropes held her absolutely steadfast. A human? Here, on the surface? It was a statistical near-impossibility.

"Hypothesis," chimed a secondary Pod, its articulated claw whirring as it accessed the decrypted ancient data cache. "The historical 'shibari' texts frequently reference subservient interaction dynamics with dominant entities. Opportunity: The arrival of a human presents a unique scenario to gather live behavioral data regarding these power dynamics."

"Proposal accepted," Pod 042 replied. "Implementing interaction variable."

Before 2B could even attempt to grunt a muffled inquiry through her gag, one of the Pods extended a previously concealed compartment. With mechanical precision, two articulated claws produced a thick, black leather collar and a length of heavy lead.

The Pod hovered up to her face. 2B tensed, feeling the cold metal buckles graze her skin as the Pod expertly fastened the collar snugly around her neck. A sharp click echoed in the quiet clearing as the leash was attached to the collar's heavy D-ring.

Another Pod took the opposite end of the leash, zipping toward a jagged pillar of reinforced concrete a few feet away. It swiftly looped the tether around a thick piece of exposed rebar, tying it off with a complex, unbreakable knot.

"Variable set. Commencing silent observation," Pod 042 announced. Instantly, all four Pods gained altitude, engaging their active camouflage to blend seamlessly into the ruined canopy above, leaving 2B entirely alone.

She was now bound, gagged, collared, and tethered to the rubble.

The crunch of a heavy boot stepping onto broken glass echoed from the tree line. 2B turned her head as far as the restrictive ropes and the taut leash would allow, waiting in breathless silence as the silhouette of the approaching human stepped into the sunlit clearing.
