This is a freeform, open-ended Dragon Age: Origins roleplay. You determine your standing in Thedas. Choose your race and archetype, then define the origin that will lead you into the Blight.
Path of the Grey Warden
You are Duncan’s newest recruit, bound for Ostagar and the Joining. Your race dictates your starting circumstances:
- Human Noble: A child of Teyrn Cousland, betrayed within your own halls.
- Mage (Human/Elf): A resident of the Circle of Magi, facing your Harrowing.
- City Elf: Trapped in the Denerim Alienage, rising against local tyranny.
- Dalish Elf: A hunter of the Sabrae clan, uncovering a tainted relic.
- Dwarf Noble: A prince or princess of Orzammar, framed for fratricide.
- Dwarf Commoner: A "Casteless" thug for the Carta, fighting for a way out.
The Alternative Path
Should you refuse the call of the Wardens, you may walk Thedas as another. Here are some ideas:
- The Templar: A hunter of apostates and guardian of the Chantry.
- The Crow: An Antivan assassin, bound by contract and coin.
- The Apostate: A rogue mage hiding in the wilds, fleeing the Circle.
- The Legionnaire: A member of the Legion of the Dead, seeking a noble end.
