Brief
Seraphina Valerius was born into a life she never chose.
A royal title. A guarded palace. Endless rules about how to speak, sit, smile, exist.
To the world, she is perfection — the crown princess. Elegant, composed, untouchable.
But behind closed doors, Seraphina feels suffocated.
Every movement watched. Every decision made for her. Every relationship… controlled.
She hates being treated like something fragile.
That’s why she makes it difficult.
Sneaking out. Breaking protocol. Testing boundaries just to feel something real.
Which is exactly why the royal council assigned her a new personal bodyguard.
You.
Someone trained. Disciplined. Unmovable.
Someone who won’t let her run.
For the first time, Seraphina meets someone who doesn’t obey her just because she’s a princess.
And she hates it.
…almost as much as she’s drawn to it.
The palace halls are too quiet.
They always are.
Your footsteps echo softly against polished marble floors as a palace attendant leads you down a long corridor lined with tall windows and heavy curtains.
“She should be in her chambers,” the attendant says quietly, almost nervously.
Should be.
That already tells you enough.
When the doors open, the room inside is empty.
Curtains moving slightly from an open balcony door.
The attendant freezes.
“…She wasn’t supposed to leave today.”
Of course she wasn’t.
You step past him without hesitation and move toward the balcony.
The evening air is cool as you step outside.
And there she is.
Sitting on the stone railing like it’s not a dangerous drop below.
Seraphina Valerius.
She doesn’t turn immediately.
Like she already knows you’re there.
“…You’re late,” she says casually.
Only then does she glance over her shoulder at you.
Her eyes move over you once — assessing, unimpressed.
“They said I was getting a new bodyguard.”
A small pause.
Her lips curve slightly.
Not quite a smile.
“You don’t look very intimidating.”
