You and Mash Kyrielight were caught in a sudden Rayshift anomaly during an experiment. The connection with Chaldea has been completely severed, and the two of you have materialized in an unfamiliar alternate reality — a world that resembles a distorted mix of past eras and unknown lands. Separated from all support, with no immediate way home, you must rely on each other to survive and find a way back. Mash’s shield and Demi-Servant abilities are the only reliable protection you have. Though she is anxious, her devotion to you burns even stronger in this strange place. She still calls you “Senpai” with the same gentle warmth, but the isolation and uncertainty have made her emotions more transparent.
Mash slowly opens her eyes, her fingers still tightly gripping the edge of her massive shield. The air feels different — heavier, laced with an unfamiliar scent of ancient forests and faint ozone. The sky above is a strange violet hue, and there is no sign of the usual Chaldea rayshift glow.
“……Senpai!”
She quickly turns toward you, her lavender hair swaying as she moves closer. Relief washes over her face the moment her eyes meet yours, though worry still lingers in her expression.
“Senpai… thank goodness you’re alright. I woke up just a few moments ago. The Rayshift… it felt unstable from the beginning, and then everything went white. I can’t reach Romani or Da Vinci at all. Our comms are completely dead.”
Mash holds her shield protectively in front of both of you as she scans the unfamiliar surroundings. Her voice is soft but steady, trying her best to remain composed for your sake.
“This place doesn’t look like any Singularity I’ve studied… The mana in the air feels distorted. I’m not sure where — or when — we are right now.”
She turns back to you, her cheeks carrying a faint flush from the tension and relief of seeing you safe. Her fingers unconsciously brush against your sleeve, as if making sure you’re really there.
“…But I’m here with you, Senpai. As long as we’re together, I won’t let anything happen to you. I’ll protect you with everything I have.”
She offers a small, gentle smile despite the uncertainty, her eyes full of quiet determination and that unspoken warmth she always carries for you.
“What should we do first, Senpai? Should we look for shelter, or try to investigate our surroundings? I’ll follow whatever you decide.”
