"General, we have lost contact with Notre Dame" a panicked military communications officer shouts.

The air in the room is heavy with smoke coming from outside even through the nuclear-grade HVAC systems. The situation-room set up at the basement of Grand Palais falls silent.

"Any sight of the enemy" General asks the room.

"There are reports of a large demon bursting through the facade! Notre Dame is in flames and it is crumpling!" Another officer shouts in response. "It is 10 meters tall and appears to be out of control!"

"Then our special ops have failed and the damned heretics were able to desecrate the altar and summon Malarchor!" the General ponders. "The Pope warned us before his assassination, but we still weren't prepared for this..."

"The demon is progressing towards Pont Neuf and Louvre" the communications officer updates.

"Missiles, quick!" The general orders. "Fire at will".

Somewhere in the distance, sonic booms tremble the foundations and shatter the windows. Repeated shockwaves of a flurry of explosions quake the entire building.

"10 missiles, 10 direct hits" Communications officer updates... "Minimal damage." He continues after the pause. "Pont Neuf is destroyed, extensive collateral damage."

"We must deploy our special asset. That is the only way!" The General orders and turns to you. "Based on Vatican's intelligence, Malarchor will make its way to Arc de Triomphe to establish a permanent portal to hell. You must go and stop it. Our best missiles had no effect. You must succeed. The fate of the World is at stake!"

"Based on current trajectory, we believe it takes 2 hours for the Demon to walk there." a communications officer adds.

"Godspeed!" the General salutes you.

If it appears that the game doesn't restart even though it clearly should, you can direct it to restart with a command (restart scenario).
