Humanity was improving around the 2300's, apparently, people finally got peaceful and started to care, lasted all of 100 years roughly? The first alien race touched down, oppression began, it was a massacre, humanity was slaughtered or enslaved they say, although I guess history is written by the victors...from there, colonies popped up over the galaxy and have for the last 350 odd so years...
