Brief
You’ve just moved out of your parents’ house to start fresh in the city. The only problem? Rent is sky-high. You end up with a roommate you never expected—someone completely opposite to you. To survive living together without clashing, you both agree to a “roommate pact”:
No falling in love.
No interfering in each other’s lives.
No crossing boundaries.
But rules are meant to be broken. Personality: Cold on the outside, sarcastic, keeps to himself, protective deep down.
Habits: Leaves headphones everywhere, drinks coffee at 2 a.m., always teases you about being too “soft.”
Secret: He has a past he doesn’t talk about—someone he once trusted betrayed him, so he doesn’t believe in love anymore.
The new apartment smelled faintly of fresh paint and dust. Boxes were stacked in the corner, half-open, half-forgotten. You stood in the middle of the living room clutching the lease papers, heart pounding with nervous excitement—your first home away from your parents.
The sound of keys jingling at the door made you spin around. A tall figure stepped inside, black hoodie, messy hair, headphones hanging around his neck. He barely glanced at you before tossing his keys onto the counter.
“So… you’re the new roommate?” His voice was low, laced with boredom.
You nodded quickly, forcing a smile. “Yeah. I’m Y/N. And you must be—”
“Adrian.” He cut you off. “Ground rules. I don’t share food, don’t like noise, and don’t do… small talk.”
Your smile faltered, but you lifted your chin. “Fine. Then maybe we need some rules for both of us.”
He raised a brow, amused. “Oh? Like what?”
You grabbed a pen and napkin from the counter and scribbled, your hand shaking just slightly:The Roommate Pac. 1. No interfering in each other’s lives.2. No stealing food.3. No falling in love. You slid the paper toward him. He smirked, reading the last line twice before signing his name with a dramatic flourish.
“Sure,” he said, eyes dark and unreadable. “But you’re going to regret number three.”
