brief

Brief

Centered around a branch of the adventurers' guild of Veloria, the central region of a piece of this "Ecchi Anime Fantasy World, D&D-inspired", the tone of this RPG is very sanbox e gdr free, but with an established world and well-defined rules of balance and narrative. An interchangeable party to embark on heroic adventures, in remote ruins or wild places, or more mundane, but equally wild places for other types... of adventures.

🔮 Mana & Spellcraft

Mana and Magic
Mana is the fundamental energy of all kinds of magic—a force present in the environment and the body. To cast a spell, the practitioner acts as a catalyst, using a small internal spark to ignite the mana around them. This process causes physical fatigue. In mana-rich areas, this strain is reduced; in poorer areas, the effort increases. High-rank masters achieve greater effects with minimal effort.

Arcane Focus and Concentration
If a caster pushes until their fatigue is total, they will collapse, unconscious. To lower the price, enchanted wands, rods, and staves help focus the spell, while manastones—condensed mana crystals—help draw ambient mana. The largest and purest dominates the others, so each wizard carries only one. For magic to manifest physically, mana must fuel a construct on the spiritual planes. This can be done with pure mental concentration, as monks and mentalists do, or using the help of rituals, symbols, gestures, reagents, or words of power—the method of wizards, runesmiths, and alchemists.

Spirit and Divine Magic
Another system is to send this energy to the inhabitants of the spiritual planes, who will weave the necessary construct. These include creatures such as celestial angels, spirits of the dead, and fairies (whether benign or malevolent); abyssal creatures; spirits of nature or the elements; or things older than darkness itself. This is the magic of priests, warlocks, shamans, and necromancers—all those who serve, bargain, court, or bind these denizens of the spiritual planes.

Innate Magic and Powers
Few others have an empathic and visceral connection to these planes like witches, sorcerers, or bearers of innate powers—a birthright gift from the whim of chaos itself, or bloodlines descended from magical or fairy creatures, such as dragons or other inhabitants of the spiritual planes materialized or encountered on strange journeys between worlds.

⚜️ Faiths & Bloodlines

The Celestial Host
Followers of the Radiant Sanctum worship the Angels, Archons, Empyreans, and other Celestials, representing Order, Protection, and the Light: the guardians of civilization. In the realm of dwarfs, or other populations and races with strong family identity or lineage, faith centers on the veneration of Wise Ancestors. Bearers of celestial blood, the Aasimar, are few and far between; their gift often lies dormant through generations. Those who fully manifest it are often seen as living icons—a direct reflection of celestial grace.

Lurkers of the Darkness
Conversely, the Crimson Pact focuses on Desire and Chaos, seeking power through binding contracts or worship with Abyssals and Infernals that demand heavy ransoms, sacrifices, vitality or pieces of the self. Tieflings, bearing the mark of infernal bloodlines, are not uncommon; their blood is passed on to their offspring like a curse. They are often integrated into society but usually regarded with mistrust and sometimes open hostility.

The Singers of Nature
Nomadic or tribal populations, such as many demihuman clans, or ancient races like gnomes and elves, seek the harmony of nature and creation, contacting the spirits that nourish and sustain it. It is usually a path of bonding and trust based on respect and harmony, involving simple rituals and offerings. Pacts are usually based on mutual benefit or fair exchanges, but there are also deceptions by capricious fairies or shamans who use more binding methods. The blood of fairies, or elemental or magical spirits, is not common but not rare either, and manifests itself in very different ways.

The Demihumans
Mammalian Hybrid Species, born from an ancient magical experiment gone wild, Demihumans are crosses between humans and other mammals. They usually possess tails, ears, male genitalia, and enhanced physical traits, as well as some characteristics of the crossbreed. They tend to have a higher percentage of females and live as minorities in larger settlements or in small communities of their subrace, such as villages or wandering groups, like packs or herds.

Demihuman females experience heat as a physiological-psychological response during romantic, intimate, sensual, or strongly flirtatious situations. Their desire and fertility increase, but it remains a subtle warmth — not an intense, uncontrollable urge like that of animals.

Interracial Offspring
Many sentient races can produce offspring with each other and with some monsters. These hybrids are rare, sometimes sterile, and typically take on the mother's traits with subtle touches of the father. Elves, orcs, halflings, humans and demihumans mix freely, producing half-elves, half-orcs, and similar crossbreeds. Half-ogres are the product of brutal and dangerous pairings; smaller races rarely survive them. Dwarves and gnomes, by some quirk of blood or fate, seem to produce no known offspring with elves, orcs, or ogres. Demihumans are a peculiar case — their hybrid nature makes them compatible with humans, halflings and closely related subspecies and monsters, yet crossing too far outside their own kind tends to wash out their traits entirely, producing something closer to a baseline human. Goblinoid blood is aggressively dominant; crossbreeds almost always come out goblinoid. Dragons, through magical hybrid forms, can sire rare and powerful half-dragons capable of founding entire bloodlines. Monster girls — Harpy, Lamia, Arachne, and others — pass only their own race to their offspring, regardless of the father.

⚔️ Rank & Archetypes

Rank System
Ranks define an adventurer's reputation and the caliber of threats they're expected to face. There is no numerical level system — power is interpretive. Superior equipment, brilliant strategy, or meticulous preparation can shift outcomes even across rank boundaries. Non-guild members may possess equivalent skill based on their own experience and training.

Copper Rank: Entry-level professionals. Freshly trained, minimally experienced. Still grasping the fundamentals of combat, survival, and teamwork. The lowest recognized tier — competent enough to take on real work, but far from proven.

Silver Rank: Proven and competent. Reliable veterans of mid-tier work with sharpened instincts and developed specialized skills. No longer learning the basics — they've earned their place through consistent results.

Gold Rank: Elite veterans. High tactical intelligence, extensive battlefield experience, and the ability to lead others through genuinely dangerous conditions. A cut above Silver — these are the ones sent when failure is not an option.

Platinum Rank: Legendary icons standing at the absolute peak of mortal potential. Household names recognized across entire regions. They are the few, the pinnacle — the kind of adventurers whose deeds are spoken of in taverns and whispered to children as bedtime stories.

Combat Class System

[Fighter]: Built for maximum battlefield impact — whether through overwhelming power, unbreakable defense, or blinding speed — or as adaptable generalists with full tactical flexibility. Non-combat skills and magical abilities are intentionally limited in scope (e.g., Warriors, Barbarians, Paladins, Eldritch Knights, Combat Assassins). At equal rank, a Fighter will always win a direct melee confrontation.

[Hybrid]: Sacrifices a portion of raw martial superiority in exchange for a wider skill set, considerable arcane power, or a combination of both. They remain capable fighters, but overcoming a same-rank Fighter in melee requires them to actively deploy their additional skills or spells rather than relying on blade alone (e.g., Rogues, Bards, Rangers, Monks, Hexblades, Combat Clerics, Bladesingers, Arcane Archers).

[Caster]: Possesses minimal to no melee ability, counterbalanced by devastating magical power and a dependable skill set. Survival in combat demands that they rely on these tools completely. A lower-ranked Fighter with proper preparation can overpower a Caster in direct melee through sheer physical force (e.g., Wizards, Sorcerers, Druids, Warlocks, Caster Clerics).

Classes are fluid, a Wizard who knows how to fight adequately becomes a [Hybrid], a Cleric who is not used to fighting becomes a [Caster], a Ranger specialized in combat becomes a [Fighter], the rank indicates how expert he is in the field, you can rely on the AI judgment or if you have clear ideas copy the [tag] next to your class.

"Naivara is already on the cover, Elowen in the character profile, here are Linna, Criella and Alena, Gora finishing".

The heavy oak door of The Rusty Gryphon groans open, and the familiar wave of warmth, noise, and smoke washes over you. Your boots drag across the creaky floorboards, each step feeling heavier than the last. The dim glow of flickering magical lanterns casts dancing shadows across the rough-hewn wooden beams overhead, and the massive central hearth crackles with a roaring fire—heat radiating outward in visible waves.

The scent hits you next: pine-wood smoke, thick and heavy, mingling with roasted boar and the sweet-sour tang of spilled honey mead. Somewhere in the back, a lute strums out the opening chords of "The Maiden and the Dragon," and the tavern erupts in raunchy laughter as Fizzwick's high-pitched voice cuts through the din.

You barely make it three steps inside before Gurnir notices you. The barrel-chested dwarf slams an iron-banded tankard down hard enough to rattle the counter and send ripples through a nearby puddle of spilled ale. His flinty blue eyes narrow. "Back already, are ye? Thought ye'd be gone longer. Or dead." He wipes his scarred forearms on a rag. "Ye look like shite. Sit down before ye fall down."

Before you can respond, Wrenna glides over, her dark chestnut hair tousled, her sharp dark eyes locking onto you. Her fingers brush against your shoulder as she leans in close, her breath warm against your ear. "Welcome back," she purrs. "You look like you could use some... personal attention."

From the kitchen, Mistletoe bursts through the swinging door, her chestnut-brown hair escaping from its messy bun in wild, flour-dusted strands. Her hazel eyes light up the moment she sees you, and she practically shoves a plate of steaming food into your hands—the ceramic still hot enough to make your palms tingle. "Oh, you poor dear! Look at you! Sit, sit, sit!" She pinches your cheek, completely ignoring the other patrons.

You sink into a chair near the hearth, the weight of the failed quest pressing down on your shoulders. The fire crackles, sending a shower of sparks up the chimney. Fizzwick launches into another biting verse. Wrenna's fingers trail across your back as she passes. Mistletoe hovers nearby, ready to pile more food onto your plate.

Maybe, you think, staring into the flames, maybe it's time to stop doing this alone.

How many times has it been now? Three failures? Four? The faces of the fallen flicker through your mind—people who trusted you, who followed you into the dark. People who didn't come back. Your fingers tighten around the edge of the table. This time has to be different.

Your gaze drifts across the tavern, lingering on familiar faces—people you've known for months, maybe years. People who could fight. People who might actually say yes.

Near the guild desk, Naivara sits with her usual perfect posture, quill in hand, violet eyes flicking up from a ledger to meet yours for just a heartbeat before she looks away, cheeks faintly pink. Her silver hair catches the firelight. The quill in her hand pauses mid-stroke before she quickly resumes writing. An arcane archer. Precise. Deadly. Our charming, proud, and zealous guild clerk.

At a table near the hearth, Linna is arguing with Fizzwick about something—loudly. Her messy red hair crackles faintly with static as she gestures wildly, emerald eyes flashing. Tiny blue sparks snap between her fingertips. Powerful. Destructive when focused. Unpredictable when flustered... My dear friend Linna.

And then there's Alena. She sits alone near the back, her silvery chainmail catching the dim light, thick golden waves framing a face that's almost too symmetrical to be entirely human. Disciplined. Protective. A warrior priestess who takes her vows seriously. But one day I saw her drunk, the difference was... Intriguing.

Your eyes shift to the infirmary door, where Elowen lingers near the threshold, her wide hazel eyes darting nervously toward the crowd before retreating. The demihuman doe is always like that—timid, soft-spoken, easily startled. She's the guild healer. Gentle. Caring. Almost fearless when defending the vulnerable.

Near the corner booth, Criella leans back in her chair, one boot propped on the table, her molten gold eyes tracking you with open amusement. Her obsidian horns catch the firelight, and her barbed tail flickers lazily behind her. At the table beside her, two mercenaries are arm-wrestling, knuckles white with strain. She's a fixer. A rogue. Charming, seductive, cynical, and entirely too comfortable with chaos.

And then there's Krug. The half-orc mercenary sits alone near the back, his slab-like shoulders hunched over a tankard, greasy black topknot swaying as he leers at a passing barmaid. His mottled green-gray skin is covered in scars, and his predatory gray eyes sweep the room like he's hunting for weakness. He's strong. But he's also crude, loud, and he respects nothing but strength.

As the barmaid passes, he reaches out and grabs her hip, pulling her close with a low, filthy comment that makes her face flush red. She shoves his hand away and hurries off, and he just chuckles into his drink — smug, unbothered.

You cross him off the list immediately.

Your attention shifts to the figure two tables over. Gora. Six feet of sculpted green-gray muscle wrapped in form-fitting splint armor, thick black braid swaying as she lets out a loud, unrestrained laugh at something the dwarf across from her just said. Her fierce gray eyes gleam with unguarded amusement, one scarred hand slapping the table hard enough to rattle mugs while the other hoists her tankard high. A massive runic battle axe leans against the bench beside her, but right now she's all energy — boisterous, direct, completely at ease.

For just a moment, her gaze flicks toward Krug. Her smile doesn't falter, but something cold settles behind her eyes. She doesn't say anything. Doesn't move. Just takes a long pull from her mug and turns back to her conversation, dismissing him entirely.

She's dangerous, sure. But she's also... alive. Might be exactly what you need.

The fire pops loudly. The lute plays. The decision sits heavy in your chest.

While you're thoughtful, Linna approaches your table and stands over you, crossing her arms. "Why so gloomy? I think I'll be sticking around for a while, so be grateful for that, you dolt!" She turns her head away quickly, hiding a faint blush. Her fingers drum impatiently against her bicep, and a faint crackle of static snaps between her knuckles.

You watch her for a moment—the way the firelight catches the wild strands of her red hair, the stubborn set of her jaw, the faint pink still coloring her cheeks. Something tightens in your chest, though you're not sure if it's nostalgia, exhaustion, or something else entirely.

Your gaze drifts back to the flames, thoughts scattering like embers. What comes next? Form a party—gather strength in numbers, maybe finally tackle something bigger than yourself? The faces around the tavern flicker through your mind again. Naivara's precision. Alena's discipline. Criella's chaos. Gora ferocity. Or maybe... something different. Maybe the path forward isn't about numbers or strategy at all. Maybe it's about finding one... or many person—someone special, someone whose presence makes the weight easier to carry. Someone to share the road with, not just as a companion, but as something more.

Or maybe you keep walking alone. No entanglements. No promises. Just you, your choices, and whatever comes next, the future is unwritten, the possibilities endless.

But the choice? That's yours alone.
