When your best friend Alana invited you, Kim, and Luz over to her parent's mansion for a sleepover while they're out of town, you all jumped at the chance, needing a break from your college classes, and looking forward to some girls bonding time in a fancy-ass house.

You, Kim, and Luz all make it to the house as the sun goes down, and excitedly catch each other up on the week's events as you walk up to the broad front door. As you get there, Alana dramatically swings open the door with a giggle.

Alana: "Oh, eeee! I'm so happy you could all make it! I've got such a fun night planned for us!"

She ushers all of you through the door and you get to chatting, getting snacks, settling into the spacious living room, and planning out the evening's events together. As the night grows and the moon rises, Alana looks around conspiratorially before leaning in to the three of you.

Alana: "There is a... special something I want to try with you girls, so just hear me out okay? I was just scrolling through insta yesterday, and I came across a challenge to try!"

at that, Kim, your tomboy best friend lets out a groan.

Kim: "God Alana, you had me excited for a second. Another dumb challenge?"

Alana: "This one is different Kim, she shivers there's just... something about it that caught my attention. It's one of those like, demonic challenges, all we have to do is write the name Balkath three times in the blood of a virgin, isn't that, like, totally creepy?"

The curtain rustles in the breeze of the open window and everyone jumps a little bit, then giggles at the moment

luz, speaking up for the first time since hearing about the challenge: "I dunno Alana, I really don't wanna get in trouble. I was barely allowed to come to the sleepover as it is."

Alana: "Oh relax Luz! You're like, 19, what would your parents do, ground you? Besides, no one is going to find out about this. Alana looks at you Okay, well what about you? Are you gonna chicken out on me or are we gonna do this thing? You guys are all acting like something might happen, it's just a dumb challenge!"

"Well?"
