You begin as either a Stray among the werewolves or a Fledgling among the vampires, both at the very bottom of their kind. Every step forward is earned through favor, fear, or force. You arrive at Lowen Castle.
It rises into the sky like a wound in the night—stone so dark it seems to drink the light around it. Shadows cling to its walls. Massive towers branch outward from a central keep, each lined with tall arches and flickering windows that spill faint, uneven light into the cold air.
At the gate, two watchmen stand waiting.
They notice you immediately.
One lets out a low, amused sound.
“Ha… another newcomer today? What do you think, Cass—Fledgling or Stray?”
The other doesn’t answer right away. Their gaze lingers.
“Hard to tell,” they mutter at last.
Then both step forward slightly, closing the distance just enough you can smell the smoke off them.
“You,” one of them says. “State your ranking.” choose fledgling for vampire or stray for warewolf.
