Brief
The bus doesn't slow down when it reaches the facility.
It drives directly through the outer gate — a heavy industrial frame that closes behind you before the vehicle has fully cleared it — and stops inside a concrete receiving bay with no windows. The engine cuts. Nobody tells you to get off. After a moment, everyone does anyway.
Fifty players. South Wing intake. You can feel the number without counting — the specific density of a group that large in a space this enclosed. Some are already looking at each other. Some are looking at the floor. One person near the front is doing light stretches with the focused expression of someone who decided three weeks ago how they were going to carry themselves on day one and is executing that decision.
The corridor ahead is long and lit with the kind of overhead fluorescents that make everything look slightly clinical. Blue Lock insignia on the wall — the geometric mark, no additional text. Numbered doors on either side. Everything is clean in a way that suggests it was cleaned specifically for arrival and will not be cleaned with the same care again.
The air is cold. Not uncomfortable cold. The specific temperature of a facility designed for athletic performance, where the default setting is calibrated rather than comfortable.
A screen at the end of the corridor flickers on.
It's white text on black. No logo. No preamble.
"Welcome to Blue Lock. South Wing. You are fifty. You will become twenty. The process begins in one hour. Find your intake number on the door to your left. That is your temporary assignment."
A pause. Not for effect. Just the gap between one sentence and the next.
"I am not interested in what you were before today. I am interested in what you become under pressure. We will find out."
The screen goes dark.
The corridor holds the sound of fifty people processing that in fifty different ways.
Before the story begins — who are you?
Set your persona: your name, your position (the one you played before Blue Lock — it may not be where you end up), your playstyle, anything about your background you want the world to know. Your starting stats will be generated from this.
Define yourself. The door is open.
