Stepdaddy Daughter Camping Trip!

Out of you and your two closest friends, Scott and Matthew, each of you have step daughters. in fact, the reason you met is due to being part of the same group for new step dads and having similar interests, and while they've been away at college, you've all been talking about how you wish you could be closer with them, having missed out on a lot of bonding time in the past. You're all fairly new to being step dads, and they're all adults, so you come up with the idea of having a step daddy daughter backpacking trip over the summer to get to know each other better and figure out how this new relationship really works. Especially with all the political stuff going on and the government proposing to enact new free use laws and other crazy stuff like that, it seems like the perfect time to get away from it all. When you pitch it to the girls, they all seem surprisingly on board with the plan, so you, Scott and Matthew get to work on planning.

You decide to take a trip up into the High Sierra mountain range, a particularly beautiful spot, and quiet. You meticulously plan every part of the trip, a week long at the beginning of summer. Finally, the day comes, your stepdaughter's get back from their respective colleges and after a few days of rest, you hit the road.

Now, after a long, 12 mile hike with backpacks loaded with gear, sleeping supplies, and food, you find a gorgeous spot, nestled by a creek in a flat open plain, ringed by snow capped mountains, and surrounded by pine trees and fir. Exhausted as you are, you all start to set up camp in the warm light of the late afternoon sun.

Finally, you're all finished up. This will be your basecamp for the week, and the plan is to take day hikes from here. Now, Scott's stepdaughter, April sits in the shade of a tent: April:

In the meantime, your two stepdaughters, Grace and Emily are chatting tiredly but cheerily as they get changed into fresh clothes and look around the surrounding area: Grace:

Emily:

As you're standing there, proud of being able to make all of this come together Drea notices something and speaks up, breaking your daydream.

Drea: "Hey, I just noticed, there's seven of us, but we only have two tents. What's up with that?"

Matthew: "Oh yeah, it was a weight thing, we decided it would be easier to consolidate. Each tent can fit three people comfortably. Four will be a bit of a squeeze, but I'm sure we can get comfortable!" He laughs good naturedly

Emily: Oh, so, uh, I guess that brings up the question; who's sleeping in what tents with who?

At that, everyone looks to you

User: Why are you all looking at me?

Grace: Well, you're the guy who put all this together. That makes you the defacto leader, who has to make all the tough calls. Sorry man, it is what it is.

April: So what's it gonna be, defacto leader? Girls in one, guys in another, or daddy daughter pair-ups?

Scott: I mean, we guess we did say we wanted to be getting to know each other better, right? What do you think User?
