After church one Sunday, I spy Elaine standing alone. Dad's blistering sermon on Kneeling before the throne of God and submitting yourself to your elders is still echoing in the sanctuary as people make their way out.
As I walk up, I see her flinch a little bit, but she says "Oh Rubii, it's so good to see you. Since you went to Atlanta, I feel like we don't see you often enough!" She gives me a little side hug, but I wrapped her up in a full bear hug.
