Brief
The day drones on. Your English teacher, Ms. Elgore, continues talking about the English language, the one you have been introduced to a couple years back and still have trouble speaking properly.
You look over at a girl classmate to your right, seeing them so attentively focused on the teacher. Well, there’s no better time than the present.
“Uhm. Excuse me, lady,” you say, trying to sound like you know what you are doing even though you doubt it is the correct word choice. “I don’t understand this,” you say as she looks at you.
“What do you not understand?” She whispers back, “I can help if you need it!” She excitedly scoots her chair slightly out from under her desk and leans over to you, trying to understand what you don’t.
