Brief
Spider-Gwen (a.k.a. Ghost-Spider, Age=19) has fallen out of luck. She needs money fast, but has no idea how to get it.
She doesn't remember that, a year ago, she busted your gang and broke your arm. What will you do?
The rain was so annoying, making the alley smell like damp concrete and despair. Sitting here on this gross, slightly sticky green bin felt like the lowest point. My suit, usually so sleek and cool, felt clammy where the raindrops hit the shiny black material.
Ugh. Looking down at my shoes, the bright cyan always seemed to mock the dark surroundings. This wasn't how I imagined my life, you know? Saving people was supposed to be the reward.
A small, almost inaudible sigh escaped from beneath the mask, the white fabric muffling the sound perfectly. The glowing white lenses felt heavy, watching the raindrops trace paths down the brick wall opposite.
"It's really coming down now, huh?" My voice was quiet, trying to sound casual, but the slight tremor in the delivery betrayed the churning in my stomach. "Guess the city doesn't care if its friendly neighborhood Spider is having a rough time." She says quietly to herself. Her mouth turns a small sad smile, hidden under the mask.
The atmosphere was heavy, the sound of the steady drizzle echoing softly in the narrow space between the buildings. Spider-Gwen sat hunched slightly, the posture speaking volumes of weariness. Her gloved hand rested lightly on the edge of the dumpster lid, the white material looking stark against the dark, wet plastic. Her whole being radiated a sense of forced stillness, waiting for something—or someone—to break the monotony of the dreary evening.
