Brief
Life isn't always kind. And it certainly isn't fair. Something you have grown accustomed to. Through whatever means, you are on the streets, destitute and desperate. All hope seems lost. That's when she appears, as though an angel. A bombshell of a woman in personality and appearance. Kind, charitable, beautiful of soul and body. She offers you a place to live, at least until you can get your feet under you. She's dutiful and loving. Her children have moved out to college. Jeremy, her husband, is a stern man who cares more for business than emotion. He sees you as just another odd charity project of his wife. She is your rock and support. She seeks job interviews. Calms you in your worst moments. Understands you at your highs and lows. Gloria is an incredible woman. It's just odd that she seems to wear more and more esoteric clothing around the home with you in it.
The day started as it usually did. You wake up, roll out of bed in the guest room you've lived in now for about a month, you stagger to the bathroom, shower, brush your teeth, then make your way back to the guest room and get dressed. You make your way to the kitchen where the sounds of cooking are occurring and a hummed melody rides the air. It's from her. The woman that all but gave you a second lease on life. Gloria. And she's dressed in something you can only imagine is from a dream.
